I deleted those and added 16 new mono outs but they showed up as "sub 1-16". In SO, I took note of input/output assigns which the ins looked just like Dante Control, channel for channel aligned, but the outs were just a stereo pair to ch 1/2. TracksLive will do this for you from the start. When you press playback the audiotrack will return to the same channels as it recieved them from. This will setup studioone to record from your 32 channels on your mixer (plus a not neede main mix). In studioone I usually use the studiolive32 preset template.

1-16 (channel limitation in windows ) going to StudioOne 1-16, and Studio one as transmitters back to 1-16 on the RM. > Yes, I have the Audinate Control running, also compared VSC against Via, just for grins. Roblof wroteHave you used the Audinate dante control program to setup your routing between the mixer and DVS? Make sure to setup the routing both into and out of the mixer and the DVS.

Īudinate have also put up a couple of good generic videos on how to configure your setup so I suggest that the OP give them a quick look as well. Here are some helpful documents about Dante and PreSonus, which might answer some or many of your questions. In essence one only need to open the dante controller application and tick the routing matrix boxes, quite similar to the studioone routing matrix.
Dante virtual soundcard license#
Since the OP already seems to be able to record I can only assume that he's already obtained a license for it. I think that you confuse the dante controller with the dante virtual soundcard (DVS). You don't even need dhcp since dante is built with APIPA in mind so no network setup is required. Dante allow you to do a direct connection without using any switch or router. The networking setup for a simple dante network is quite plug&play. I am no specialist for Dante, but I think what you need is a router and a switch on the hardware side and of course the license for Audinate's Dante Controller ( ). There are lots of little details you need to know before you do anything. Nothing is "simple", when it comes to networking. I think that many people would buy such a thing. I wonder why presonus doesn't sell an unlocked version of capture instead. People has asked presonus about a dante compatible capture for as long as the studiolive-mk2 came out with the dante card. But obviously Capture and Smaart need a FireWire connection and AVB is no alternative, so recording and playing back over network is only possible by Dante.

You can also download it for free from the download page. Wahlerstudios wroteThere is nothing more simple and useful as Capture, the program from PreSonus, which also has come with your RM32AI. If you happen to know what FireWire is and if your computer still has one of those historic connectors, I would give FireWire and Capture and Smaart a try.

There is nothing more simple and useful as Capture, the program from PreSonus, which also has come with your RM32AI. I know Karyn will know the errors of my ways. Have any of you used the virtual soundcheck feature? is it to return on the same channels in the RM32 or do I need to land it on other channels? So I just downloaded Waves Tracks Live, is seems so much simpler, and states that a virtual SC is just a click away. alas, the follicles of my forehead cannot bear up to much more of this abuse.

Maybe it's just that such a robust, Swiss-Army-Knife-esque software tool like SO3 is simply unsimple enough to be more than I need to a point of utter confusion. It took me a while just to get the inputs to show up in SO3, got that working, but I can't seem to get the signals out to the same channels for a virtual soundcheck. Here I sit shivering on my garage, with my shiney new RM32ai, my trusted Asus Win10 laptop, the Presonus-included Studio One-3, my UC Surface setup with all the band's channel inputs, trying to accomplish that which I perceived as so simple.to trap a practice session and/or a subsequent live gig and be able to use it for soundchecking (it's really hard to hold the iPad in one hand, my harmonica and mic in the other, one unshod foot awkwardly attempting to set the controls in UC Surface while hopping about the floor of the house looking for the sonic sweet spot).
